Ladies Training Weekend
June 19th - June 21st 2015

Come and join me & my team of coaches for this action packed weekend of triathlon activity. In the past we have run many of these courses and participants have gone on to progress further into the sport whether for competition (some have gone onto to GB age group level) or just for fun and a way of keeping fit. We are aiming the weekend at both beginners and for those who have done a few events but want to learn more .The emphasis is on providing ladies with an informative and fun weekend. Perhaps you are a group of friends who need a new fitness challenge. Don�t be worried if you are on your own either as this weekend will be a chance to make some new friends.

This year we will be based in the beautiful Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester. Here we have everything we need. Lovely clear lakes for swimming, quiet roads on which to cycle and trails around the water park for running. There will be practical sessions in all disciplines plus talks. There will be plenty of good food and comfy beds.

All accommodation and meals will be provided. Currently we are at the early stages of planning but if you want to find out more just get in touch. Nearer the time you will be able to get an application form, and a detailed programme of sessions. Costs are still being finalised.

N.B. There will be a non-refundable deposit required on initial application to cover accommodation deposits.

None of the programme was compulsory though most of us chose to complete every session. Practical sessions included bike handling skills which I certainly had never been taught, open water swimming skills, a little competition practice, and some nice relaxed bike rides. Janet & her team encouraged every one of us; her coaching style is just what this type of group needed, getting the balance in the sessions to suit all of us and appreciating the different needs of the group.


When I decided to attend the training weekend I was rather nervous. My fianc� who was already doing triathlons encouraged me to sign up and he even bought me a new bike for my birthday! And I didn�t do it just to keep him happy. I learnt so much that weekend that I got the bug too. I have now entered the London Triathlon confident that I can finish.


I was already a runner but approaching my 50�s I felt my body needed a new challenge. The best thing for me over the weekend was the swimming. Janet, Nadia and the other coaches made me feel really confident in the lake. It was all very alien to me but I have come away feeling that I am going to swim more outdoors & maybe enter my first triathlon next year.
